Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk – September 25, 2010
Please join and support the AGA-Nashville Chapter Team for the 2010 Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk on September 25!
The Association’s Memory Walks are the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support, and research. This year’s 1 mile Nashville Memory Walk will be held in a new, scenic location – Edwin Warner Park -- on September 25. Registration starts at 9am and the 1 mile walk starts at 10am. This is a community event joining together friends, family, and co-workers. It is a lot of fun, well organized, and very popular. The walk itself is always easy so that all ages and abilities can participate. Each team is uniquely recognized over the loud speaker as they begin their walk.
There is no registration fee for this event. However, participants are asked to register with our team at http://memorywalk10.kintera.org/nashville/aganashville. Family members and friends are welcome to join. If you are able and interested, you can raise money for the cause. You earn a free walk T-Shirt by raising more than $100.
If you cannot participate on Memory Walk day, you are welcome to financially contribute to our team's efforts. You can donate to recognize the overall Chapter team or specific team members at the same webpage: http://memorywalk10.kintera.org/nashville/aganashville.
The Association’s Mid-South Chapter estimates that nearly 25,000 people are afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease in Tennessee. Additionally, over 65,000 are impacted because they care for somebody with Alzheimer’s Disease. Odds are that numerous chapter members are or have been personally and deeply impacted by this disease.
Contact Sandra Tulloss at 615-973-9583 for more information and to notify that you have participated or donated.
